Job Description

Channel Partnership and Business Development Intern

As the Channel Partnership and Business Development Intern, you will be involved in a variety of projects throughout the summer and will gain exposure to the different areas of channel partnerships and business development at Hexagon Mining.

Your focus:

·        Assist in the development of Hexagon Mining’s partner and channel program

·        Support the implementation of projects part of the program

·        Coordinate the development of the tools and material required for new partners and channels

·        Assist the channel director with the on-boarding of new partners

·        Perform market analysis and company review together with the channel director

·        Assess survey, recommend enhancements, and prepare the questionnaires.

·        Provide support material to assist the business development program

·        Provide new market analysis and internal reports to support the program

·        Develop marketing material to assist the launch of new sales initiative

·        Work closely with all stakeholders to ensure successful project completion

·        Econometric analysis of market development over time, short, medium and long-range forecast

·        Segmentation in the market and development over time

·        Analysis of competitive pricing/sales dynamics in the various market

·        Assist the sales team for the most important deals in your region

·        Help us incorporate process improvements:

·        Document feedback and help with process improvements (listening to business development representative call and meeting recordings to and highlight specific areas of opportunity or to bring items to organization attention)


You should bring the following skills and experience:

·        Pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Administration, Economics, Management Information Systems, Marketing, or a related discipline. Will consider rising Juniors and above only.

·        Strong organizational and project management skills are essential; must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and capable of making sound and timely decisions

·        Ability to build relationships with different roles and departments

·        Skills in problem-solving, observation/listening and time management

·        Ability to work independently as well as in a team

·        Education background in Business, Statistics, Data Science, Marketing, Research, and Social Science

·        Proactive thinker with the ability to anticipate project needs

·        Outstanding oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills – ability to communicate information quickly and succinctly

·        Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access)
